New Texas Family Case Law Blog Launched

The purpose of this blog is to make decisions and opinions of Texas courts of appeals on family law matters more accessible to practitioners and to the public.

The scope is envisioned to encompass the following areas:

Divorce appeals: Dissolution of Marriage, property division, post-judgment actions, enforcement

SAPCR cases, whether joined with divorce suit or otherwise. (SAPCR stands for Suit Affecting the Parent-Child Relationship)

SAPCR suits involving grandparents and other nonparents

Parentage actions (paternity, nonpaternity, establishment of paternity, disestablishement of paternity)

Termination of Parental Rights Cases (CPS, now Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (Tex. DFPS)

Adoption

Assisted Reproduction and related issues

Nontraditional family arrangements
